It contains the following major new features :

  • Search Position keeps a variable number of previous archives for display and compare
  • Search Position supports a trend chart of previous archives showing change over time graphically
  • Search Position gives detailed information about result page - keywords, title, size, links ,alexa, whois etc.

It contains the following enhancements to existing functionality :

  • Search position Keyword limit set at 500
  • Show overall score for all search engines not just 'Overall'
  • The data for web position did not include 'Overall' engine status
  • Most display lists now have a context menu
  • Offer existing Site Position configations on 'New' so not forced to create a new one
  • The Graph display has been improved
  • The busy icon has been improved
  • Site position change list column alignment is now left aligned
  • Respond to special Right menu keyboard click to display context menu
  • Shows last modified timestamp
  • Shows META keyword/description information for page
  • Provides Next/Previous on information detail dialogs for faster navigation
  • Improved graphical column plot for site position in lists
  • Automatically do a Site Position update check every week and then prompt user if one available

The following fixes have been applied :

  • The Search Position overall position did not always match highest entry in list
  • The Overall search position change column on Details view was sometimes wrong
  • Result URLs ending in '/' were treated as different URL to those without a closing '/'
  • Deleting a site did not always delete from application's MRU list
  • Prominent white line at bottom of display mode tab deleted for some display settings
  • History position list could not be sorted by position column properly
  • The busy progress window was not modal to the view
  • Reduce number of simultaneously active threads to reduce possible chance of WinInet exception
  • If the folder used by Search Position is deleted no warning was issued
  • If installer fails or machine crashes part way through installation then a file may not be replaced on resumed installation
