Site Position Graph Key

Explaining the history graph

The dialog shows the key for the history graph of search engine position.

The graph shown indicates the changes in the position of the monitored web page over time. The scale indicated on the left is the position on the search engine, so the higher the line the higher the position. It shows the color used for a completed scan and also an orange color for times when the scan could not be successfully completed.

Site Position computes an Overall position based on all the search engines scanned. If you select another search engine then the Overall position is shown by a brown line for comparison. The current time is shown by a green arrow. You can control the scale of the graph used for the display, it can be a whole month, week or day. This will normally reflect how often the scan is done.
