Choosing when and what to monitor

Scheduler - Site Monitoring Configuration

Each event in Site Vigil is associated with a particular monitor name and can be given a text description to identify it.

To configure a new scheduled event, select which actions to carry out at the scheduled time, it can be one or more of Site Vigil's monitoring actions or to run an arbitrary external program. This means you can use Site Vigil's sophisticated event scheduling and alerting mechanisms to run any background tasks you need to automatically on your PC.

Then select one of the time frequency options and the corresponding time detail alongside it, and finally press OK.

You can run the same monitoring actions at different times using several different scheduled events.

To view the overall monitoring state for all the monitored sites or to run an action manually use the Schedule page. To temporarily suspend a monitoring action you can set the monitoring frequency to Do not run this action at present.
