Site Monitoring

Making each page request unique

Scheduler - Randomizing the page access request

Normally SiteVigil will use the same URL when ever it checks the server to make sure it is accessible.

It uses the various HTTP options to ask for a fresh copy of the data direct from the server but sometimes the local software or routers will return a cached (stale) copy instead.

To ensure that the data is fresh you can choose to add a special Query to the end of the URL, this normally forces the Internet to fetch new data. The query it adds is made up of the keyword you specify in this dialog and then the value is the timestamp (seconds since Jan 1st 1970).

So if the keyword is set to 'SV' a URL of '' would become

''. Note that adding this query may complicate any automated log analysis you are performing.
